Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for clients, paving the way for individualized therapy plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques in sessions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Engage with diverse populations, delivering group and family therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of each client.
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate record-keeping and confidentiality.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and training, to stay abreast of the latest advances in mental health treatment and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our LPCs work with a varied client base, including individuals facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship issues. By providing tailored and empathetic therapy options, our counselors play a vital role in improving clients' mental health outcomes and quality of life. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• An active and unrestricted professional counselor license (LPC) in the state of Virginia is required.
• Minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is essential, demonstrating competence in therapeutic practices.
