Job description

Surveillance Agent

Starting Rate: $20.00

Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years old

License/Certification: State of Nevada Gaming Permit. Must attend training and pass the Title 31 test prior to the first shift. Must comply with Title 31 requirements in addition to annual training and testing.

Job Summary

The Surveillance Agent shall observe the activities of guests and team members on property via a closed-circuit television system for criminal activity and/or violations of State Regulations, Internal Controls, Company Policies & Procedures, and report suspicious or inappropriate behavior accordingly. The Surveillance Agent shall demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Surveillance and Casino operations. Surveillance Agents will be required to complete all core training requirements in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications

Basic knowledge in Casino Operations is preferred but not required. Must be mentally strong and able to cope with many challenges. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate in English effectively, both written and verbal. Must possess basic knowledge and operations of a computer system, including Word and Excel.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Maintain the Surveillance Room in accordance with regulations and procedures.
  2. Observe casino activities and ensure that all policies, procedures, and regulations are adhered to.
  3. Observe, report, and document suspected criminal activity and unusual activities.
  4. Observe table game play for Dealer and Player evaluation. Conduct in-depth evaluations of styles of play to establish legitimacy or Advantage play.
  5. Perform investigative reviews and audits with Reports when directed.
  6. Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion, long periods of sitting, short periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, twisting, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing or similar activities; recurring lifting of light items.

Work Environment

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated/cooled, and ventilated. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays. The work area has variable lighting and has controlled temperatures of 70-76 degrees.
