The opportunity Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Security Officer to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Security Guard, you will maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. What will you do? * Enforce gaming rules and regulations of the NYC Gaming Commission. * Patrol the facilities, pedestrian and mobile patrol; provide security for special functions. * Drive a motorized vehicle when needed * Enforce all department, unit and company policies and procedures, including alcohol service protocols. * Observe and report incidents, procedural violations and illegal activity. * Fill out departmental log forms, verify all paperwork is complete and turned in at end of shift. * Assist with fires, wind storms, floods, blizzards, evacuations, and other emergencies as directed.  More about you * Must possess a New York state Security Guard license * Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test. * Must have a High School Diploma or GED * Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain customer goodwill. * Ability to work in fast-paced environment. * Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events. Physical requirements * Requires the ability to see, hear, walk, run, sit, squat, bend, reach and grasp objects throughout the shift in all weather conditions. * Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds.
