Job description

Overview

The Parking Supervisor provides on-the-ground leadership to the parking lot crew, ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming arrival experience at Brighton Resort. This role oversees daily operations at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, coordinates staff deployment, manages real-time lot capacity, and steps in to handle escalated guest situations.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and motivate a team of parking attendants and ambassadors, ensuring proper positioning and execution of traffic control duties.
  • Capacity Management: Monitor real-time lot fullness and communicate data via two-way radios to mountain dispatch, the transit team, and highway updates. When the resort has reached maximum capacity, take decisive action to safely turn away incoming vehicles and manage traffic redirection at the canyon entry points.
  • Escalated Problem Solving: Serve as the primary point of contact for complex guest inquiries, complaints, or parking disputes with a professional, solution-oriented approach.
  • Incident Reporting: Document vehicle damage, staff injuries, or safety incidents accurately according to Boyne Resorts protocols.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure the crew properly utilizes high visibility uniforms and maintains clear transit lanes for the UTA Ski Bus and emergency vehicles.
  • Operational Readiness: Coordinate early morning lot setup, including barrier placement, snow removal monitoring, resort delivery access, ski bus parking and equipment checks before peak guest arrival.

Qualifications
  • Leadership Experience: At least 1–2 seasons of supervisory experience in ski resort operations, event parking, or high-volume outdoor hospitality preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and radio etiquette under pressure.
  • Weather Tolerance: High endurance for working on your feet outdoors in severe alpine winter weather (snowstorms, high winds, sub-zero conditions).
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift push/pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Schedule: Open availability to work early mornings (starting as early as 5:30 AM), weekends, and holiday periods throughout the ski season.
  • Passion for the outdoors
  • At least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation to and from the resort in all weather conditions.
  • High School diploma or equivelent (College degree preffered)
