Job Title: Substance Use Disorder Counselor - Inpatient

Location: York, PA

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Weekend availability required

As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will provide client-centered clinical care within our inpatient setting, facilitating engaging individual, group, and family therapy sessions while ensuring compliance with clinical best practices and accreditation standards. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone committed to delivering quality care and advancing in the behavioral health field!

Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social functioning.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support client progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions (individual, family, and group) in a structured and supportive setting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Clinical Record (ECR).
  • Assist with utilization review and discharge/aftercare planning.
  • Support curriculum development, clinical training, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Conduct Level of Care Assessments and participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
  • Uphold a safe, therapeutic environment and respond to crises appropriately.
  • Complete required trainings and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology) with licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or certification (CAADC), or eligibility to obtain.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with CADC, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field with CAAC, or eligibility to obtain.
  • High School Diploma with CAAC.
