Pay: $16.50/hour

Employment Type: Full-Time & Part-Time

Shifts: All days 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officers in Lima, Ohio. This position is heavily focused on access control and patrol functions and requires officers who consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Unarmed Security Officers often serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and contractors. Maintaining a professional appearance, clear communication, and a calm, confident demeanor is essential. Post assignments may require working outdoors year-round, depending on location, and most posts require the ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Professionally control access to facilities by verifying identification, credentials, and authorization
  • Monitor entry and exit points to ensure compliance with site policies
  • Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols to maintain a visible security presence
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Observe, document, and report suspicious activity or policy violations
  • Accurately complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and access control documentation
  • Enforce site rules while maintaining a customer-service-oriented approach
Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain an Ohio Guard Card
  • Prior security experience required, preferably in:
    • Access control operations
    • Patrol duties
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
