Clerk Typist 2 Position

This position performs a variety of clerical and office functions. Our team will rely on you to complete work within strict time frames that help us provide services to stabilize, support, and ensure the safety of children and their families. As a Clerk Typist 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Document Preparation: Type and proofread any and all case material including case records, forms, correspondence, and court summaries
  • Office Communication: Perform receptionist duties, make room reservations, take minutes at assigned meetings, and operate the switchboard
  • General Support: File, copy, scan, and update any and all case material; maintain and distribute supplies and forms
  • Client Assistance: Log drug test kits and dispense tokens, gift cards, and Septa passes as directed
  • Technology Use: Monitor and provide routine maintenance for the fax machine and other office equipment; effectively use computer systems and databases
  • Teamwork: Interact with co-workers, agency staff, clients, and professionals; provide clerical coverage in other office sites if needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
  • Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
  • Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
