Job description

Description
Provides support for patients of the medical center and laboratory through phlebotomy and clerical functions. Uses independent judgement, recognizes and resolves problems as part of daily performance duties. Participates in PI activities and supports the hospital in ensuring the department meets CAP, CLIA and DNV accreditation standards. Ensures federal, state and agency regulations and standards are met.
Shift/schedule: Rotating days, evenings and nights including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Completion of a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy program preferred.
Experience:
Previous laboratory experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Special Qualifications:
Effective communication skills, computer and typing proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure quality patient care.
