Overview
We're hiring an LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) Technician to support production operations on a client account in the Eagle Ford.
In this role, you'll drive a regional route from well site to well site using a handheld gas analyzer to inspect equipment for leaks, repair what you can on-site, and document your findings. Accurate documentation is critical-if the monitoring isn't documented, it didn't happen from the regulators' perspective.
This is a Monday-Friday position with weekends off, where you'll primarily manage your own daily route. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and enjoys working independently.
Responsibilities
- Perform leak surveys on production equipment (valves, flanges, fittings, seals, etc.) using a handheld gas analyzer.
- Calibrate the analyzer daily and maintain required certifications.
- Repair leaking components when possible and generate work requests for repairs that cannot be completed in the field.
- Maintain accurate records of all monitoring activities and repairs.
- Conduct emissions testing on engines and compressors and complete required compliance reporting.
- Coordinate with contract LDAR technicians working in the same area.
- Assist with routine production operations and maintenance activities as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous LDAR or fugitive emissions monitoring experience, especially Method 21 using a TVA 1000 or similar analyzer preferred.
- Oilfield production or Lease Operator experience with knowledge of surface equipment, including:
- Wellheads
- Separators
- Compressors
- Artificial lift systems
- Industrial or refinery experience in instrumentation, pipefitting, welding, operations, or maintenance preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand tools and field instruments.
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office; client uses SAP for work orders).
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Able to work independently and manage a regional driving schedule.
- H2S awareness and basic safety training (training can be provided if needed).
- Candidates with a strong production operations or industrial maintenance background who are willing to learn the compliance side are encouraged to apply.
Why Danos

- Company vehicle provided.
- Independence to manage your own regional route.
- Training and support to ensure success.
- Opportunity to help keep facilities compliant while protecting the operator, the environment, and the people working in the field.
