Job description

Position Overview
The Senior Finance Data Analyst will help lead the development and delivery of advanced analytics that enable stronger financial and commercial decision-making across Encore. This role plays a critical part in transforming complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights through compelling analysis, visualization, and data storytelling. The Senior Finance Data Analyst will partner closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations to identify trends, surface opportunities, and influence strategy. Success in this role requires not only strong technical expertise, but also the ability to translate data into narratives that resonate with business leaders and drive informed action. This position reports to the Analytics Manager.
Key Job Responsibilities
• Assist with the evolution of reporting, analytics, and visualization tools to facilitate strategic decision making.
• Design and deliver dashboards and reports that emphasize insight, context, and storytelling, supporting executive-level and operational audiences.
• Extract, interpret, and synthesize data from centralized data sources using advanced SQL queries and structured analytical techniques.
• Lead the development, automation, and maintenance of critical financial reports and dashboards, utilizing analytics to drive meaningful actions.
• Generate both standardized and ad-hoc reports, providing insightful analyses to support informed financial and operational decisions.
• Address data inquiries from diverse business units, offering comprehensive and analytics-driven responses.
• Partner on the development, automation, and maintenance of regularly used reports.
• Provide keen insights into variances between actual and projected results across the sales organization, enabling strategic adjustments.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Effective quant and analytical abilities, strong bias towards data and insights driven decision-making
• Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), with an emphasis on insight driven dashboard design
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and architectures; experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Experience ensuring data quality and integrity through effective data governance processes.
• Proven track record of translating complex data into meaningful insights to drive business decisions.
• Impeccable organizational acumen, attention to detail, and adeptness at multitasking.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities paired with outstanding analytical skills.
• Exposure to advanced analytics, predictive modeling, or AI enabled analytics use cases is a plus.

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
