PSC Registration Rep
Location: Bellingham, WA
Onsite Flexibility: Onsite
Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $18.00-$21.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Days - hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM but may change to a 6:00 AM start depending on the need.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Job Summary
Responsible for all PSC (Patient Service Center) front office duties. This function includes and is not limited to: customer service, data entry, insurance billing and payments, problem resolution, following HIPAA regulations, and ordering office supplies. May provide support at several locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers appropriately. Treat all customers in a courteous manner.
  • Assist patients with kiosk sign-in, and ensure accuracy of same.
  • Contact clients to obtain patient orders.
  • Handle customer inquiries.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures (i.e. Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Employee Handbook, Quality Assurance Manual).
  • Perform basic clerical duties, i.e. filing, faxing, preparing mail, some data entry.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and values.
  • Adhere to departmental and company policies.
  • Report on time to work, following attendance guidelines.
  • Answer the telephone in a friendly and helpful manner, by incorporating the company name, self-identification and a helpful statement.
  • Use established protocols for reporting customer complaints.
  • Ensure that HIPAA Compliance regulations are followed; use test translation tables.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Assist with stocking of supplies.
  • Other duties as required to meet the customer requirements.
  • Complete special projects as requested by supervisor or manager.
Required Skills
  • Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements; weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Must have strong communication skills. Able to speak clearly and effectively communicate to customers and peer groups.
  • Demonstrates good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise consistent, independent, sound judgment.
Preferred Skills
  • Keyboard/data entry and PC experience
  • Medical terminology helpful, not required
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Required Experience
  • One year customer service experience
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing/sitting
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds; carrying up to 15 pounds for several minutes at a time.
