GPI is seeking Senior Construction Inspectors to provide construction inspection services on various Road & Bridge Construction projectsthroughout the state of Connecticut for CTDOT, Turnpike, and Transit projects. Candidates will inspect work & traffic control performed by the contractor to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting the project Resident Engineer with project administration.
- Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.
- Perform daily construction inspection of work activities, which may include the following:
- Collection of materials samples
- Field testing and sampling of concrete in accordance with ASTM standard procedures.
- Utilize field testing equipment to conduct in-place density tests of asphalt and/or soil
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering, or a related field of study, or 4 years of experience with a NICET II
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Prior experience in performing construction inspection
- Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors
- Work Contractor hours, may include nights and weekends
- One or more of the following current certifications
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Construction Special Inspector and/or Concrete Field Testing Technician
- Asphalt Technician Certification (preferred)
- Hot Mix Asphalt Density Testing Inspector / NETTCP HMA Plant Technician
- NICET II
- OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training
