POSITION SUMMARY

Theย Public Relations Specialistย will supportย PR initiativesย in regions across the Western Hemisphereย forย Bandai Namco'sย games.ย This role will help develop and execute actionable PR plans that maximize awareness and drive purchase interestย inย ourย products, working closely with cross-disciplineย publishingย teamsย across our organization as well asย outside partners and agencies. They willย be responsibleย forย being a media relations representative for their assigned products,ย helping devise and execute PR strategies,ย communicating regularly withย press, and attending trade shows and events.ย

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESย ย 

  • Assistย inย executingย PRย plans and activations that supportย Bandai Namco'sย products, working on video games fromย the company's diverseย portfolio ofย ownedย IP, globally beloved anime franchises,ย and blockbuster titles from partner developers.ย 
  • Support the writing and editing of press materials, including product messaging, press releases, media alerts, and pitches.ย 
  • Support planning and coordination of physicalย PRย activations including pressย tours,ย bespoke pressย events,ย andย PRย presenceย atย majorย tradeย shows.ย 
  • Interactย andย developย relationshipsย withย pressย toย fosterย positiveย engagementย withย Bandai Namco'sย products.ย 
  • Workย closelyย withย internalย and agency PR teams as well as cross-functional teams inย publishingย toย helpย coordinate PR needs (interviews, assets, event preparation).ย ย 
  • Aid in monitoringย andย reportingย onย PRย campaignย KPIs and developย proficiencyย with PR tools to produce regular performance reports as required by the team and company stakeholders.ย 
  • Beย anย effectiveย ambassadorย forย Bandaiย Namcoย Entertainmentย inย andย outsideย ofย theย company, which includesย effectivelyย speaking and presenting to large groups.ย 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.ย 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Communicationsย or related field.ย 
  • 1+ย yearsย ofย relevantย PRย or marketingย experience.ย 
  • Demonstratesย initiative,ย attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.ย 
  • Familiarityย withย game,ย tech,ย andย entertainmentย press.ย 
  • Excellentย writtenย andย verbalย communicationย skills, including comfort with public speaking and presenting.ย 
  • Strongย knowledge and passion forย videoย gamesย andย animeย cultureย andย landscape.ย 
  • Work in a physically demanding environment that includes domestic and global travel for 25% or more of the year to major shows and PR events, including occasional weekend trade shows.ย

SALARY RANGE

$71,000.00 - $87,500.00 (annual)

Actual base salary will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
