Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Sorter
Shift: 1st Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm
Reports To: Shipping Manager
Department: Production
Location: Mason, Ohio
General Function: Ensures parts are being processed and handled consistently according to the company's quality practices and standards.
Job Duties:
  • Visually check all parts for defects and notifies supervisor if parts have defects
  • Will identify defects that can be detected visually such as burrs, scratches, dings, draw lines, die marks, improperly located parts, bad buff, bad butler, rust missed operations, missing holes, paint, welds.
  • Identify and isolate questionable or bad parts
  • Will provide proper disposition as well as proper documentation performed as required by Quality guidelines for isolated and/or non-conforming parts
  • Ensure all parts in the area are either on a table, conveyor, slide, pallet, or in a container.
  • Prepare and complete required documentation, forms, reports, labeling product, tagging of rejects
  • May be required to load/unload trucks
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Other Requirements:
  • Possess a valid tow motor operator's license issued by the company
  • Must be available to work overtime, including weekends as required
  • Knowledge of proper inspection procedures and requirements
  • Use of manual tools and compressed air impact guns.

Working Conditions: Plant/Warehouse environment, working on and around machinery. Standing, walking, sitting, and driving tow motors throughout the working day, capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and some stooping up to 40 lbs.
Education/Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
