Round Barn Public House – Baroda, MI
Full-Time or Part-Time | Hourly

Position Summary

Round Barn Public House is seeking a skilled, dependable, and fast-paced Grill Cook to join our culinary team.

The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing menu items accurately and consistently while maintaining food quality, proper cooking temperatures, station organization, and speed of service. The ideal candidate is comfortable working a busy grill station, understands proper food handling, and thrives in a high-volume kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
  • Operate the grill and other assigned cooking equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure proteins and other grilled items are cooked to proper temperatures and guest specifications.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain the grill station before and throughout service.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, portioning, and presentation.
  • Maintain strong ticket times while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with Line Cooks, Expo, Servers, and kitchen leadership.
  • Assist with ingredient preparation and restocking as needed.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
  • Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work responsibilities.
  • Support other kitchen stations during high-volume periods as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous grill cook, line cook, or restaurant kitchen experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of grilling techniques, cooking temperatures, and food safety.
