Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care with the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide, coordinate, and document nursing care in collaboration with physicians according to policies and procedures
  • Educate patients and families on treatment, discharge, and aftercare planning
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment in individual and group settings
  • Monitor, report, and prevent risks to patient safety and adverse outcomes
  • Deliver compassionate, person-centered care to diverse populations, addressing spiritual, emotional, social, mental, and physical needs
  • Foster a customer-focused, collaborative, and professional work environment
  • Serve as a clinical leader by delegating assignments, supporting staff development, and assisting with staff training
  • Utilize and review patient care protocols and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Support medication administration and physical health activities
  • May assist with scheduling, staffing, and pre-authorizations
  • Model Pine Rest's mission, values, and professionalism

Education & Experience
  • Licensed RN in the State of Michigan (BSN preferred)
  • Knowledge of psychiatric nursing theory from an accredited nursing program preferred
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
