Travel RN – Neuro Trauma Intermediate PCU (Nights)

Springfield, Missouri

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidity patients
  • Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
  • Operate and monitor unit-specific equipment including Philips monitors, chest tubes, arterial lines, wound vacs, drains, EVDs, Nicom, BiPAP, and Airvo
  • Float on a rotational basis to critical care cluster or med/surg as required
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines
Required Qualifications
  • Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently hold licensure in the state of Missouri
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (inpatient only)
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1 (declinations not accepted)
  • Ability to work weekends as required by the facility and orient on day shift during the first week of assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience caring for neuro, trauma, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory distress, and insulin drip patients
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced intermediate ICU environment
