Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Facilitate the payment of guest checks by processing cash, credit cards, room charges, or special billing.
Responsible for recording all financial data required by accounting for payments.
Receive payment from guests in the form of cash, credit cards, room charges, and comp slips; make change as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all monetary transactions.
Make deposits/cash drops, complete appropriate cashier paperwork/reports, balance and secure bank. Count down bank and make accurate "drops" when required.
Post and payout tips as required. Create and settle all checks, comps, charges, etc.
Interact with team members and guests in a professional and polite manner.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to operate a cash register, calculator, telephone and credit card machine to complete guest transactions.
Ability of simple reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: analyzing, following instructions, memorization, problem solving, and decision making.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous cashiering experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, and occasionally bending over, crouching, kneeling, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry 10lbs or less frequently and 25lbs or less occasionally.
The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet. Team member will constantly have repetitive use of their dominant hand, occasional use of their non-dominant hand, and frequent light grasping motions. Team member will have occasional use of firm/strong grasping motion. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts in possible confined areas around computer equipment and other mechanical devices.
Team Member may be around flame/heat generated devices.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Team Member may be exposed to extreme heat/cold, wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, slippery surfaces, moving objects, dirt/dust, odor and/or secondhand smoke.
