Job description

IS4S is looking for a self-motivated systems engineer with experience in model-based systems engineering practices and execution on US military defense systems. There are numerous skillsets required:

· Communicate with stakeholders and customers to generate design requirements

· Write and communicate requirements to stakeholders

· Apply MBSE practices to capture systems engineering Architectures

· Extend the backend tool capability to support development efforts

· Integrate the system model with other domain or simulation models for a digital engineering enterprise

· Capture systems engineering concepts effectively using existing and company-unique modeling concepts


Job Role(s):

  • Execute the systems engineering development of a major defense program within an MBSE tool/environment
  • Communicate systems engineering concepts using the MBSE model
  • Traditional Systems Engineering roles executed from the model such as: Requirements Development, Architecture Development, Requirements Verification, Parametric Analysis, Trade Study Execution, Technical Performance Measurement, Decision Analysis
  • Develop scripting for the export of data artifacts into document-based format
  • Develop scripting within an MBSE model to support the effective management of model data artifacts

Required Experience

  • 0-5 years or more years of experience with an MBSE tool such as Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, et al
  • 0-5 years or more years of experience with Defense Systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering field is required

Other Beneficial (not required) Experience

Systems Engineering execution such as:

  • Experience with position, navigation, and timing systems, requirements, architectures, designs, interfaces are preferred.
