Job description

Carlyle Senior Care of Blackville is looking for an RN Weekend Supervisor to join our team. This position is scheduled from 7am-7pm on Saturday and Sunday ONLY and is compensated a Baylor bonus of 4 extra hours for each 12-hour shift worked. This position is also eligible for a full benefit package including medical, dental, life and supplemental insurances as well as a $5,000 Sign on Bonus.

The RN Weekend Supervisor is responsible for supervising, providing and coordinating nursing care in compliance with facility policies and procedures. This includes providing hands-on patient care and the supervision of caregiver staff, ensure provision of quality resident care, and provide direct assistance with activities of daily living and support to residents.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Make accurate and ongoing assessment of the resident's status and respond appropriately.
  • Follow established standards of nursing practices and enforce facility policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
  • Take appropriate action to assure adequate staffing to meet residents' needs.
  • Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to the Director of Nursing while initiating corrective action.
  • Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action immediately.
  • Identify resident problems and emergency situations and initiate emergency care and "life-saving" measures.
  • Follow and supervise the implementation of Residents Rights.
  • Attend staff meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, in-service classes, and committee meetings as assigned.
  • Follow staffing guidelines and make nursing assignments according to qualifications of staff and characteristics of the resident population.
  • Counsel Nursing Assistants and recommend disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physicians orders and accurately record all care provided.
  • Provide instruction for appropriate nursing care to licensed nurse and nursing assistants.
  • Perform comprehensive assessment of residents as assigned.
  • Promptly report changes in residents' conditions to the physician, Director of Nursing and responsible party, and take follow-up action as necessary
