Summary:
Responsible for supervising/ coaching/ mentoring STAR/ CHIP/ or STAR Kids workgroups (Pods) comprised of UM/ECM RN and support staff to achieve department goals and objectives. Acts as process owner and subject matter expert for program benefits and long term supports and services (LTSS).
Additional Information:
The RN Supervisor, Utilization Management is responsible for supervising/ coaching/ mentoring STAR/ CHIP/ or STAR Kids workgroups (Pods) comprised of UM/ECM RN and support staff to achieve department goals and objectives. Acts as process owner and subject matter expert for program benefits and long term supports and services (LTSS). The Supervisor will offer motivation, encouragement, and resources to the team members. Assists individual team members to set and accomplish goals. Train and certify team members on all applicable processes and essential skills related to Utilization Management. Assesses individual team member's existing abilities and provides customized skills training to ensure each team member can properly perform job functions. Provide positive and constructive feedback to direct team towards goals.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Hybrid position, will require in office work 1-2 days per month in Fort Worth.
Required Education, Experience and Licensure:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • RN License in Texas.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
  • 2 years of Utilization Management experience.
  • Proficiency in use of computer applications and typing speed (35 words per minute minimum).
  • Strong skills in the following areas: Oral and written communication, Problem-solving, Organization and time management, Customer service, Knowledge of adult teaching and learning, coaching.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in a supervisory role.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
