Job Description Summary
The Argyros College of Business and Economics (ACBE) offers undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs in business, economics, finance, accounting, and related fields.
The ACBE Student Worker position is a dynamic role that supports various departments, including Administration & Operations, Career Advancement, and Graduate Programs. Responsibilities include assisting with projects, administrative tasks, and other duties as needed.
Responsibilities
Answer office phones, take messages when appropriate, and greet visitors.
Direct students to appropriate resources.
Perform office tasks such as filing, photocopying, mailing, and printing.
Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages.
Monitor and replenish office, kitchen, and printing supplies as needed.
Maintain the organization and appearance of reception and common office areas.
Assist with promotional materials for college programs and events.
Support events with setup, registration, and takedown.
Compile informational materials and wrap promotional items.
Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Canva, Canvas, Mailchimp, Handshake, and 25Live.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends for special events.
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience in customer service, reception, or office administration.
Working knowledge of Chapman University's colleges, schools, and departments.
Working knowledge of campus resources.
A positive attitude, professionalism, and flexibility.
