Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiovascular RN is an individual who, after comprehensive training, is qualified to perform Cardiac Stress Tests, Holter Monitoring, Tilt Table Testing, and Electrocardiograms (EKGs) as well as related clerical duties associated with performed procedures. Stocks supplies and assemble, disinfect, and store equipment. In addition, this individual provides assistance with nursing functions within any of the cardiology departments, medical imaging departments, and the cardiac Cath lab to include conscious sedation, procedure circulation and patient monitoring. The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Pre-screens patients and/or families to augment the procedural process. Must be able to recognize, report and document abnormal and/or critical screening values. Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment. Educates patients and families. Involvement in performance improvement activities to ensure continuous quality improvement.

What qualifications you will need:


  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
  • At least 1 year of RN experience REQUIRED! Cardiac background preferred.
