Commercial structural steel company seeking a highly motivated, hardworking steel estimator to work IN-HOUSE at either of our two locations; Fort Lauderdale or Fort Pierce, FL. The ideal candidate is a proactive Estimator with extensive experience in structural and miscellaneous steel. You should possess deep technical expertise and the autonomy to produce precise material take-offs and comprehensive estimates under minimal supervision.

Key Qualifications & Technical Skills

Industry Expertise: 5+ years of experience in the steel construction industry (preferred).

Codes & Standards: Strong command of AWS D1.1 and AISC construction standards.

Core Competencies: Proven ability to perform accurate material take-offs directly from plans and specifications.

Operational Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of steel fabrication and erection workflows.

Software Proficiency: * Advanced skill set in Microsoft Excel & Word.

Functional understanding of Tekla PowerFab (EPM).

Professional Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational abilities; must be able to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers.

Education & Preferred Experience

Academic Background: AAS or BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

Software Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-standard estimation and detailing software.
