STARBASE is seeking innovative and fun and dedicated Instructors to join our STEM learning academy sponsored by Patrick Space Force Base/Department of Defense.
STARBASE's focus is to enrich 5th graders to help them understand the joys of STEM and how it applies to their everyday lives and encourage them to embrace Science, Technology, Engineering or Math in future endeavors. Go to: www.dodstarbase.org to read about the history and mission of STARBASE.
- Regular 8-4 work hours M-F
- No papers to grade in the evening
- Free Weekends to spend with family and friends
- Rotation of schools and students year round
- All required materials and Supplies provided
Requirements to teach at STARBASE?
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3 plus years of experience in elementary education preferred
- Resume showing recent background in physics, chemistry, aerospace science, engineering, robotics or mathematics preferred but all STEM related disciplines will be considered.
- Finger print-based national criminal history investigation required with youth programs.
- Willingness to work a 12 month/Year Round school year with Summer programs.
Note: Please don't hesitate to apply if you are a recent graduate with a STEM related degree and have experience in youth education programs such as tutoring, sports programs, Internships, etc.
