Position Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst SME to support mission-focused programs in Huntsville. The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing data analysis, developing reporting solutions, and working directly with technical and functional teams to gather and define data requirements.
The Data Analyst SME will support data-driven decision making through analysis, visualization, documentation, and reporting activities in secure environments.
Responsibilities
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using PowerBI.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data using SQL and Python.
  • Work independently with cross-functional teams to gather, define, and document data analysis requirements.
  • Support data validation, quality assurance, and reporting accuracy efforts.
  • Create and maintain data documentation, data dictionaries, and analytical procedures.
  • Utilize GitLab for version control and collaboration activities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data processes and reporting capabilities.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with Python and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA).
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with GitLab and version control processes.
  • Experience creating and maintaining data documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
