Job Description

Support development and maintenance of OSSE applications. Provide database administrative support to production and non-production databases in Microsoft SQL RDBMS platforms and ensure database availability
The Senior SQL Database Administrator will also install and configure RDBMS software, periodically patch applications, troubleshoot problems, provide performance tuning, software configuration, capacity planning, architecture recommendations, data migrations, database backup and database recovery. Provide production system support 24X7 on a rotation basis. Proactively monitor and tune databases as needed; define backup, restore, and recovery requirements. Provide recommendations for large database sizing, provide batch scripting support and provide technical documentation. Install and interface with emerging technologies databases to include SAML protocols, SOAP, Net 2.0 technologies.

Qualifications
  • Production DBA support for custom and COTS systems: MS SQL Server
  • Support system implementation with database installation/configuration
  • Experience as a Database Administrator
  • Experience with SSRS, both creating and modifying
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in database design and development using SQL Server
  • Experience with advanced level of writing T-SQL Code including stored procedures, functions and triggers, developing SSIS, SSRS packages
  • Experience in developing database structure, developing database utilization policies, procedure, security, in coordination with DBA.
  • Experience in performing platform upgrades and migrations, monitoring performance, and coordinating actions
  • Experience in DBA change management support including code releases and hot fixes
  • Experience with embedded within an agile product development team working on a multi-tenant database
  • Experience in creating technical and architectural documentation
  • Experience with insuring the integrity and security of the data
