Weekend Spanish Jobs in Wisconsin (NOW HIRING)

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a 9-month Lecturer position in Spanish within the Department of Humanities. Appointment percentage will be based on departmental needs.

The position primarily supports in-person instruction on the Platteville, Wisconsin campus. We are seeking an engaged and student-centered instructor committed to undergraduate language teaching and fostering students' linguistic and intercultural competence.

• Teach undergraduate courses in Spanish, primarily at the introductory and intermediate levels.
• Facilitate engaging, in-person language instruction using communicative and proficiency-oriented teaching methods.
• Evaluate and assess student learning and language proficiency.
• Maintain regular office hours and support student success.
• Contribute with languages colleagues on curriculum and student learning assessment, as needed.
• Support co-curricular activities that promote language learning and cultural engagement.
• Attend relevant trainings and professional development related to teaching.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in Spanish, Hispanic Studies, Spanish Education, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Demonstrated teaching experience in Spanish language instruction.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English.

• Ability to teach introductory and intermediate Spanish language courses.

• Strong commitment to undergraduate education and student success.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
