Job description

Eventide on Eighth Care Center in south Moorhead, MN is seeking a Groundskeeper Facilities Worker to work full time 7a-330p and 8a-430p. Shift may vary due to events and scheduling. On-call rotation included.

The Groundskeeper Facilities Worker performs a variety of miscellaneous duties including groundskeeping, transportation services, performing maintenance and minor repairs specific to Eventide vehicles, facilities, and equipment.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all facets of building and ground equipment repairs and service calls, minor and major repairs to fixed and moveable physical plant equipment and other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Maintains, operates and schedules van or bus runs and the daily pickup and delivery of supplies as assigned. Responsible for the proper upkeep and minor maintenance of all Eventide fleet vehicles.
  • Responsible for operations of vehicles such as skid steer, dump truck, bob cat and any other vehicle included in the Eventide fleet.
  • Safely utilizes and operates tools and equipment.
  • Transports residents or tenants to and from appointments and activities as scheduled and assigned. This will include operating the vehicle mechanical lifts, also providing assistance to passengers making sure they are properly secured in the vehicle prior to each trip.
  • Utilizes the CMMS software work order system to check job assignments during each shift, making comments and labor adjustments in the system as needed. Must also be able to use Eventide time clock software to properly manage and relate CMMS assignments to specific Eventide job sites.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on Eventide vehicles as assigned and documents accordingly. Duties will also include general building maintenance as needed and assigned by Facilities Manager. Properly maintains necessary support mechanisms in order to meet city, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Must be available for occasional evening or weekend special event transportation needs.
  • May be asked to be available for weekday maintenance call and to work weekends and nights as per the rotating schedule.
  • Accepts role as primary driver for the campus and may be asked to drive for Eventide purposes frequently.
  • Performs grounds keeping duties to maintain the desired appearance to Eventide property. This includes, but not limited to: lawn maintenance, trimming / pruning bushes, edging sidewalks, removal of weeds, removal of snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots.
  • Will rotate weekend and weekly on-call responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must have education, knowledge and/or experience in maintenance, driving, and repair work. 
  • A valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under corporate insurance policy is required.

Compensation

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $17-19.04 for Facilities Workers per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
