The Commissioning Engineer will report to the Commissioning Manager and will ensure that testing and commissioning activities are safely and efficiently completed prior to the transition to regular facility operations.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $145,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

  • Participate in design, constructability, commissioning, and system-readiness reviews.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining system boundaries, subsystem breakdowns, the systemization register, and turnover packages.
  • Prepare commissioning checklists, inspection forms, test procedures, data sheets, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform and document installation inspections to verify that equipment and systems comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Verify that required prerequisites are complete before equipment energization, startup, or testing.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with Construction, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, vendors, contractors, and system integrators.

  • Maintain complete, accurate, legible, and auditable commissioning records in the designated commissioning management system.
  • Support commissioning schedules and look-ahead plans, and regularly report progress, system readiness, testing status, constraints, issues, and resource needs to the Commissioning Manager.

  • Support preparation of commissioning reports, test summaries, deficiency logs, turnover records, and final system acceptance documentation.
  • Participate in lessons-learned reviews and recommend improvements to commissioning procedures, testing methods, and project execution.
