Job description

Software Developer
Join Sciton, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA to work with senior developers/engineers to develop embedded software for medical laser systems from requirements to production; create and modify electrical schematic layouts for peripheral or system-level connections; support integration between hardware and software components and help achieve required system performance parameters; support software QA and post-production support for medical laser systems.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; and one (1) year of experience in a junior software engineer/developer role involving (a) implementation and use of low-level interfaces and I/O handling for Timers, ADC/DAC, Serial Communication (RS-232/RS-485), Ethernet/IP; (b) support development for industrial or embedded control systems including software or logical development for deployed hardware-based systems; (c) creating, or modifying electrical schematic layouts for peripheral or system-level connections, to support hardware-software integration of sensors, controllers, or related devices in industrial or production environment; (d) designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging software that controls and operates hardware systems, including real-time or deterministic control logic used to manage sensors, actuators, and system behavior; and (e) participating in post-production support activities, including troubleshooting software-hardware interaction issues and supporting system updates or fixes.
Salary is $149,365/year.
