Job description

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Software Developer/Programmer job for our direct client. In this Software Developer/Programmer job, you will provide software and database solutions that enhance current processes in a technical manufacturing environment. This role includes building new applications and maintaining existing applications while working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Project Management teams.

Software Developer/Programmer job responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established SDLC policies, procedures, and documentation standards throughout requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Follow coding standards, version control practices, and peer review processes to ensure code quality, maintainability, and traceability
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure solutions align with architectural guidelines and security best practices
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation including design specifications, test cases, and deployment instructions
  • Meet with process owners to define requirements for new applications or modifications to existing applications
  • Develop custom applications and reports using Windows, Visual Studio, and SQL Server
  • Provide instruction and training to process owners and end users on custom applications
  • Support applications and troubleshoot issues, including potential off-hours support as required
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings to provide status updates and raise blockers
  • Follow safety guidelines and demonstrate safe work practices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Software Developer/Programmer job qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science desired
  • Experience building custom applications using C# and the .NET Framework required
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented, modular design methods
  • Knowledge of design patterns and proper implementation
  • Experience with relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or higher
  • Familiarity with T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, and data normalization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
