Position Overview JDEIS applications must adapt continuously to stakeholder requirements and policy changes. The Software Developer adapts, repairs, updates, and manages JDEIS applications and related databases that link to JEL+. The role delivers the software changes that keep doctrine, education, and UJTL tools working for their user communities Essential Job Function * Adapt, repair, update, and manage JDEIS applications and related databases.
* Translate client requirements into application features and prepare specifications for new applications.
* Design prototypes, write source code, and prepare programming specifications.
* Analyze existing systems for reusability and prepare design plans, unit and test scripts, and documentation. Minimum Qualifications * Education: Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management/Information Technologies, or similar, and one year experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
* Experience: Demonstrated success in five (5) or more technical areas: translating client requirements into features; developing specifications for new applications; designing prototypes to specification; writing source code; reviewing and analyzing system specifications; preparing programming specifications; analyzing systems for reusability; preparing design plans, analyses, unit and test scripts, and documentation; and evaluating application software packages and integration and testing tools.
* Security Clearance: Top Secret (per Staffing Plan). Desired Qualifications * Prior development on DoD web applications or databases. * Experience with the technologies underlying JDEIS tools.
