POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing team in a variety of creative and administrative tasks. Acting as the Swiss-army knife of the department, this position assists the team in multiple fields including content, charitable giving, writing, and administration. This position requires the individual to work collaboratively within the Marketing and Sales team as well as other resort departments, and creative critical thinking is a must. This position is full-time year-round with a starting wage of $48,000 per year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in contributing content to various communications channels - SugarBlog, social media (both organic and paid), email, website, etc.
  • Aggregate resort information from other departments including deals, upcoming events, and facility hours.
  • Receive and log all charitable contribution requests per direction of Director. Prepare and deliver donations to various organizations in timely manner.
  • Support Director and marketing department in updating third-party websites and publications.
  • Assist with sponsorships and partnerships as needed.
  • Distribute resort collateral at resort and non-resort locations.
  • Monitor Communications and Marketing inboxes as needed to support Director.
  • Provide Cost Estimates and quotations, submit department purchase requisitions, and monitor budgets.
  • Perform other administrative tasks for department in a timely and organized manner.
  • Represent the Sugarbush brand in event marketing scenarios, accurately communicating current products, offers, and resort updates to prospective guests.
  • Aid in the maintenance of the photo database, ensuring proper organization and timely upload of all Sugarbush owned content.
  • Prepare accurate status reports.
  • Identify any issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a schedule with unconventional availability, including but not limited to nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Participate and/or help capture content at some Resort-sponsored events.
  • Function as backup snow reporter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College with a Relevant Major.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Applicant must be a pro-active, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Candidate must have a collaborative working style, excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a larger team.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills).
  • Working knowledge of Photography, the Adobe Suite, and/or Canva a big plus.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in an active lifestyle industry which requires walking up a snowy/snow packed hill, maneuvering on the hill while walking, on ski/snowboard, or on a mountain bike. Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions and also be safety-conscious.
  • Position requires work on weekends and holidays.
  • Must also be able to sit for a full work shift.
