Job description

Job Summary: The primary responsibilities of the Set-Up Operator are to set up a variety of printing, finishing, and card manufacturing production machines to ensure proper operation by general machine operators, troubleshoot machine issues, and make minor adjustments. Responsibilities are primarily machine setup, troubleshooting, and daily maintenance. In addition to periodic machine operation, this position will clean and prepare the work area and machine for the next workday or shift at the end of the shift.

  • Ability to set up all printing, finishing, and card manufacturing production machines safely, and with high quality
  • Operate all machines in Manufacturing.
  • Train general machine operators on safe and proper machine setup and operation.
  • Troubleshoot and correct minor machine defaults.
  • Run and review first article.
  • Audit quality for operations on each side of running machine.
  • Audit to ensure that work instructions are being followed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a progressive, high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Advanced math and reading skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability and competency
  • Ability to multitask
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to determine root cause, containment, and corrective actions

Schedule:

1st Shift: 4:00am -2:30pm Monday through Thursday with OT as needed on Fri. or Sat.

2nd Shift: 2:30pm -1:00am Monday through Thursday with OT as needed on Fri. or Sat.

Weekend Shift: 4:00am - 4:30pm Friday to Sunday.
