Position Description We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Part-Time Key Holder to join our liquor store team. This role combines front-line retail responsibilities with additional duties such as opening/closing the store, customer service, and supporting shift leadership in the absence of a manager. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable upholding store policies to maintain a safe and positive shopping environment.

Essential Functions Customer Service & Sales Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service to all customers. Assist with product selection and provide recommendations on beer, wine, spirits, and mixers. Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.

Uphold age-verification standards in compliance with state liquor laws. Store Operations Open and/or close the store, including completing end-of-day cash counts and securing deposits. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.

Receive deliveries and restock shelves and coolers. Ensure compliance with all alcohol and THC regulations. Assist with setting up changes to merchandising, signage, and promotional displays.

Leadership Serve as the "Manager on Duty" when assigned. Enforce store policies and handle minor customer conflicts professionally. Safeguard store keys, alarms, and access codes.

Support training and guidance for team members as directed by management. Qualifications Previous retail, grocery, or hospitality experience preferred; liquor industry knowledge a plus. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Strong customer service and communication skills. Dependable, trustworthy, and able to work independently when needed. Comfortable handling cash and balancing registers.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Supplemental Information Schedule & Compensation Part-time role: approximately 20-25 hours per week Schedule will include evenings, weekends, and some holidays Competitive hourly pay based on experience Paid Time Off, accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked Holiday Pay: 4 hours per General City Holiday (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) Physical Requirements: Work in the store requires frequent bending and long periods of standing or walking. Incumbents must be able to regularly lift 40 pounds with reasonable accommodations. Working Conditions: The position is performed primarily indoors within temperature-controlled environment.
