Purpose of Position:


Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking Seasonal Warehouse Production Workers. Del Monte Foods in Plover, Wisconsin is hiring Seasonal Warehouse Production Operators – Grade 2 to support warehouse operations, product movement, packaging systems, forklift operations, production line support, inventory tracking, and finished goods handling during pack season operations. Employees may operate forklifts, mules, stock pickers, case stackers, tray formers, and related warehouse or production support equipment throughout the facility.

Accountabilities:


Seasonal Warehouse Production Operator – Grade 2 employees perform warehouse, packaging, forklift, inventory, material handling, line support, and production coordination duties in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Employees in these positions support production flow, finished goods movement, product staging, packaging operations, warehouse organization, and inventory control activities throughout the facility.


Employees may be assigned to various warehouse and production support functions based on operational needs, certifications, qualifications, and seasonal demands. Work areas may include forklift and stock picker operations, mule/cart driving, douglas tray former operations, case stacker operations, direct and indirect label line operations, sundry stock coordination, container workmanship inspection, product staging and pallet movement, shipping and warehouse support, packaging line support, inventory and cook check tracking, and product coding and label verification.


Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Production Grade 2 Roles

Employees may perform duties in one or more operational areas, including:

  • Operate forklifts, stock pickers, mules, pallet movers, or related warehouse equipment
  • Move finished product, pallets, trailers, packaging materials, or supplies throughout the facility
  • Support packaging operations by monitoring line flow, trays, labels, tags, and pallet quality
  • Monitor production lines for jams, defects, labeling issues, coding concerns, or product quality problems
  • Operate case stackers, tray formers, wrappers, or related packaging equipment
  • Perform minor equipment adjustments or troubleshooting to maintain production flow
  • Verify product codes, tray printing, labels, tags, and packaging specifications
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, shipping, or product tracking records
  • Collect, organize, and track cook check, library, sundry, or warehouse inventory product
  • Supply production lines with materials and remove finished product from production areas
  • Assist with shipping, staging, scanning, or warehouse organization activities
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, equipment, warehouse aisles, and production spaces
  • Follow GMP, food safety, lockout/tagout, forklift, and workplace safety requirements
  • Communicate operational concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to leadership
  • Assist with cross-functional operational support as assigned


Training

  • On-the-job training is provided for all assigned work areas. Employees may be cross trained in multiple operational functions based on business needs.


Seasonal Incentives


To support employees during our peak pack season, Del Monte Foods offers select incentives for eligible seasonal workers. These incentives are designed to assist with temporary relocation and seasonal work demands and may include:

These incentives are available only during the active pack season (typically June through early October) and are subject to eligibility requirements, availability, and business needs. Incentives may be modified or discontinued at any time based on operational conditions.

  • Ability to climb stairs, platforms, ladders, or warehouse equipment safely
  • Ability to work around moving conveyors, forklifts, packaging machinery, and warehouse traffic
  • Reliable attendance and dependability throughout the seasonal production period

  • Previous manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, transportation, forklift, or industrial experience
  • Previous experience operating forklifts, industrial trucks, or production equipment
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, shipping, forklift, packaging, or distribution experience
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Experience operating stock pickers, pallet movers, mules, or warehouse equipment
  • Experience with packaging systems, inventory tracking, or production support
  • Basic computer, scanning, or data entry experience
  • Experience with shipping, staging, inventory, or warehouse coordination
  • Mechanical aptitude or troubleshooting ability
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus but not required.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, military service, agricultural work, manufacturing experience, warehouse experience, or related work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
