Job description

Hotel Banquet Server
The Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort and Spa at Grande Dunes is looking for responsible and motivated service professionals to join its banquet team. This is a PART TIME position. Hours vary based of events. Weekends are a must.
As a Banquet Server, you would be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
• Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
• Relay banquet requests to the appropriate person.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
• Anticipate guests' needs and exceed customer service expectations.
• Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person.
• Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
• Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years old. Banquet experience preferred but not required
  • Training and willingness to continue learning about banquet function success
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work around peak hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A polite, engaging personality.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
