Position Summary

Zachry Construction is seeking an experienced Water Truck Driver with a Class A CDL. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience operating a water truck and possess a Tanker Endorsement. This position requires safe and efficient operation of vehicles and equipment while supporting field operations as needed.


What You'll Do

  • Operate a water truck, flatbed, or other assigned vehicles as directed 
  • Perform additional duties on the crew such as shoveling, installing erosion control, checking grade, carrying materials, and driving posts 
  • Operate small tools and equipment such as tampers, jumping jacks, rollers, broom tractors, and others as directed by the foreman 
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, perform daily maintenance, and keep the truck clean and ready for operation 
  • Observe, check, and assist in loading and unloading materials from the truck 
  • Maintain operator logs, forms, and records in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations 
  • Complete written reports of any problems or repairs needed and forward them to maintenance personnel 
  • Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervision 
  • Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations

What We're Looking For

  • At least two to three years of water truck driving experience 
  • Valid Class A or B CDL license 
  • Clean criminal and MVR background 
  • Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen 
  • Physical ability to perform assigned tasks and work outdoors in varying conditions 
  • Tanker Endorsement required 
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain and perform moderate physical labor
