We offer a comprehensive suite of services, including physical security, security system integration, consultation, and secure transport. We cater to various industries such as cannabis, commercial real estate, construction, data centers, and more. Silver Star Protection Group is dedicated to delivering customized security solutions to meet diverse client needs.
Position Overview
The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at a client site(s) during scheduled shifts. The guard's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. While SSPG strives to accommodate preferred schedules, flexibility is essential for the role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
  • Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client's security protocols.
  • Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.

Requirements
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active PERC required.
  • Previous unarmed security or related experience preferred.
  • Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
  • Capability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.

Schedule and Availability
  • Guards are expected to work scheduled shifts at their assigned client sites.
  • Shifts, site assignments, and schedules are subject to change based on client and SSPG needs.
  • Flexibility is required to work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage when needed.
