Job description

Position Summary:This is a great opportunity to work in a respected practice as a Medical Scribe with on-the-job training provided. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the clinic setting and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Job Functions:Begins patient notes prior to the office visit. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary technology. Maintains patient records and other information as requested by the physician. Records the office visits via electronic medical record system on behalf of physician. Provides courteous and friendly service to all patients and contributes to a positive work environment. Other duties as assigned. May be required to travel to outlying clinics as needed.

Qualifications:Must be 18 or older to apply. Preferred ability to type at least 60 wpm with accuracy. Must be proficient on computers. Knowledge of medical terminology (especially Orthopedics) preferred but not required. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT preferred but not required. Working knowledge of electronic medical records preferred but not required.

Hours:Monday - Thursday 7:45AM - 5:30PM Friday 7:45AM - 1:30PM

Additional Notes: Must be available for complete hours listed, partial availability will not be considered.
