Primary Purpose:

Assists with the administration and maintenance of reporting and business intelligence infrastructure. Guides the development, maintenance, and support of customized database reports. Supports enterprise level reporting projects. Consults and assists other project efforts. Serves as an integral team member in the integration of solutions, designing systems, and development of business opportunities while working with business departments, functional experts, and IT resources. Provides report development backup support to other members of the report development group. Assists with the improvement of end-user access to data in ARUP corporate databases.

Essential Functions:

Assist with administration and maintenance of reporting and business intelligence infrastructure.

Support creation of enterprise-level data utilization and analysis solutions to facilitate the business and clinical needs of ARUP.

Provide guidance to report developers and other data utilizers.

Work with end users to understand business reporting requirements and in identifying and understanding new data needs.

Develop custom code and scripts in support of the delivery and presentation of data.

Participate in the validation of reports created by other report developers.

Resolve reporting issues in a timely manner as required.

Maintain documentation on reports and data utilization processes.

Works within the constraints and facilitates the use of department, company, and industry standard tools and processes.

Supports the investigation, planning, and implementation of improvements to reporting processes, tools, and environments.

Provide in-services and instruction on report development and data visualization practices.

Demonstrate knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Facilitate enterprise report developer meetings.

Participate in a collaborative team environment.

Consult with project sponsors regarding development of project plans, information flow, and content, including the facilitation of information gathering sessions.

Assist efforts to evaluate, select, and implement reporting tools and components.

Create written reports of findings and recommendations on performance analysis, feasibility studies, and cost justification proposals.

Maintain confidentiality of laboratory results and information according to ARUP policies.

Physical and Other Requirements:

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.

PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
