Job description

Job Summary
Work Schedule: (2) Shifts a week 7A-730P; weekend and holiday rotation
  • Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
  • Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team.
  • Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms.
  • The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Will also assume duties on the unit to include but not limited to phlebotomy, vs, assisting with newborn care, and general patient care assistant duties.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
  • 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.

Experience
  • Relevant Experience

Certification and Licensure
  • BLS Certification
  • Certified Surgical Tech (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT (New grads must obtain within 6 months of graduation)
