Travel Registered Nurse – Hospice

Location: Biloxi, MS
Pay Rate: $55.92/hour
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Dates: August 31, 2026 – October 26, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Coverage Area: Harrison County, MS
Weekend: Participate in weekend rotation

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home hospice care throughout Harrison County, Mississippi. The RN will manage patient care, assess and document patient status and hospice eligibility, coordinate services, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings while traveling between patient homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home hospice nursing care to patients throughout the assigned coverage area.

  • Assess patient needs and manage care according to established hospice plans and clinical standards.

  • Document patient condition, care provided, and clinical findings to support hospice eligibility.

  • Monitor changes in patient status and communicate relevant findings to the appropriate care team members.

  • Coordinate patient care with physicians, hospice staff, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Prepare for and participate in interdisciplinary and patient-care meetings.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.

  • Manage multiple patient visits throughout the workday while meeting productivity expectations.

  • Travel between patient homes throughout Harrison County, MS.

  • Participate in the required weekend rotation.

  • Follow applicable hospice, nursing, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

  • Perform other nursing duties related to hospice care as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license/certification.

  • Previous in-home hospice nursing experience is required.

  • Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills.

  • Experience documenting patient conditions and care to support hospice eligibility.

  • Ability to manage multiple patients independently.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability and willingness to travel between patient homes throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with HomeCare Homebase (HCHB).

  • Previous travel or home-health nursing experience.

  • Willingness to travel longer distances between patient visits when needed.

  • Experience participating in interdisciplinary hospice meetings.

Productivity & Travel
  • Productivity expectation: 28 patient visits per week.

  • Mileage is reimbursed from the office between patient visits according to company policy.

  • Mileage is automatically deducted if starting from another location.

  • Coverage area includes Harrison County, MS.


Pay Details: $55.92 per hour
