RN Supervisor Every Other Weekend

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Supervisor to join our team at Resorts at Pooler, a leading Nursing Home in Pooler, Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a specific unit or area, ensuring the highest level of care and service to our guests. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, monitoring clinical issues, and ensuring that our facility meets the highest standards of care and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of a specific unit or area, including assessment, medication distribution, treatment, clinical documentation, and supervision of nursing staff

  • Conduct routine audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records and reports

  • Completes admission chart audit, immunization weekly, and submits high-cost meds report

  • Ensure narcotic Med Refill and Back-up med are refilled and maintained

  • In-services nursing staff as needed

  • Complete nursing acuity report daily and monitor clinical issues or staffing issues

  • Responsible for weekly med room maintenance, including returnables, expired items, and refrigerator items

  • Complete psychotropic summary every 1st weekend of the month and follow up with nurses as needed

  • Performs skin assessment weekly and ensures follow-up documentation and intervention are in place

  • Develop care plan on all guests with facility-acquired infection and nosocomial infection

Assessments and Documentation

  • Perform assessments related to skin, cardiac, respiratory, GI, neurological, muscular skeletal, renal, and pain

  • Accurately document on various forms, including ambulation/restorative care, psychotropic monitoring, pain management, pressure ulcer management/skin assessment, fall prevention strategies, antibiotic documentation, incidents/accidents, and nurses' notes

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contact physicians for admission orders and reconcile medications

  • Document legibly onto POS, read back and verify telephone orders, make appropriate referrals, and transcribe all orders

  • Fax back new admissions

  • Respond to emergency codes, including Amber, Blue, Grey, Red, Silver, Orange, Yellow, Triage, and Clear

Facility-Wide Responsibilities & Standards

  • Speak English in patient care areas

  • Attend mandatory and scheduled in-services/meetings

  • Arrive to work on time as scheduled

  • Demonstrate ability to work with others cooperatively

  • Demonstrate flexibility in assignment to meet resident/family needs

  • Wear ID appropriately at all times

Education and Experience

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and licensed by the state of GA as a RN

  • Current CPR or certified within 90 days of hire

  • Other certifications may be required for other areas of the organization
