TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Des Moines, Iowa, 50309!

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a bed size of 24–26, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 on nights
  • Care for a diverse patient population including general, gynecological, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT cases
  • Administer and manage heparin drips and titrations as required by patient care needs
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC electronic medical records
  • Float across multiple campuses as assigned to support staffing needs
  • Adhere to unit dress code requirements (navy blue solid scrub tops and bottoms)
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting
  • Patient care experience with general, gynecological, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT patient populations
  • Heparin drip and titration experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
  • Current Level II trauma experience
  • Must have completed at least one travel nursing contract within the past 24 months (no first-time travelers)
  • Active Iowa RN license or valid Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
  • Current BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Recent or current Level I trauma experience
  • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
