Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents while supervising the day-to-day activities of nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This position plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of resident care are maintained in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents.
  • Assess resident needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
  • Oversee and support Licensed Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians and family members as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and positive environment for residents and team members.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident care needs.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and mentor nursing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional resident-centered care.

Preferred:
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or veteran care settings.
  • Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience.
