Job description

Warehouse Picker – Full-Time (2nd Shift)

Location: Louisville, KY

Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking dependable and experienced individuals to join our warehouse team as full-time Warehouse Pickers.

Selected employees may be assigned to either the Vecna Picking area or the RF Picking area based on operational needs, previous experience, qualifications, and training.

Employees assigned to the Vecna area will work alongside automated warehouse technology and robotic picking systems. Employees assigned to the RF area will use an RF scanner and safely operate a center rider to select and transport customer orders.

All employees are expected to maintain high standards of safety, productivity, quality, and order accuracy throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately pick, verify, and prepare customer orders

Follow instructions provided through scanners, tablets, automated systems, and warehouse management systems

Verify SKU numbers, product quantities, locations, and item conditions to ensure order accuracy

Meet daily productivity, quality, and accuracy standards

Properly stack, secure, and transport products on pallets

Assist with staging, replenishment, pallet movement, and general warehouse operations as needed

Immediately report equipment damage, safety concerns, and product discrepancies

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Follow all warehouse safety policies, traffic rules, procedures, and PPE requirements

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to maintain workflow efficiency

Vecna Picking AssignmentEmployees assigned to the Vecna Picking area will:

Accurately select and prepare customer orders using the Vecna robotic picking system

Work safely and efficiently alongside Vecna bots and automated warehouse technology

Follow instructions provided through tablets, scanners, and automated systems

Maintain accurate and efficient workflow while working with robotic equipment

RF Picking AssignmentEmployees assigned to the RF Picking area will:

Accurately select and prepare customer orders using an RF scanner

Safely operate a center rider to move throughout the warehouse and transport products

Perform required equipment inspections before operating the center rider

Follow warehouse traffic rules and powered industrial equipment safety requirements

Qualifications

Previous warehouse, order picking, distribution, or material-handling experience is preferred

Previous center rider or similar powered industrial equipment experience is required for RF Picking assignments

Must be able to safely and confidently operate a center rider when assigned to the RF area

Must be able to communicate in English well enough to understand workplace instructions, safety procedures, and operational directions

Must be able to accurately follow written and verbal instructions

Comfortable using RF scanners, tablets, and warehouse management systems

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization

Dependable, punctual, safety-focused, and team-oriented

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Schedule and Overtime Requirements

Regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Employees may occasionally be required to report early or remain beyond their scheduled shift to support operational needs

Saturday overtime may occasionally be required based on business needs

Additional overtime, weekend, or holiday work may be offered or required depending on operational demands

Candidates must have the flexibility and reliable transportation necessary to accommodate occasional schedule changes

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing 50 pounds or more

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

Ability to frequently bend, reach, pull, push, lift, and perform repetitive movements

Ability to safely get on and off a center rider throughout the workday when assigned to the RF area

Comfortable working in a physically demanding and fast-paced warehouse environment
