Key Responsibilities

  • Build dashboards, reporting portals, case management views, and search-driven user experiences
  • Integrate frontend applications with secure backend services, middleware, and REST APIs
  • Improve usability, accessibility, and workflow efficiency for internal and external government users
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards, WCAG guidelines, and federal UI best practices
  • Collaborate with backend developers, architects, analysts, and stakeholders to define modernization priorities
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, demos, and backlog refinement
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps deployment processes
  • Troubleshoot UI defects, browser compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecks
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and production releases
  • Prepare technical documentation, style guides, and reusable component libraries

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three plus (3+) years of professional frontend or UI development experience, preferably in a federal office setting
  • Experience developing responsive web or cross-platform GUI applications and integrating applications with REST APIs and backend services
  • Experience creating dashboards, search tools, forms, and workflow interfaces

  • Familiarity with Python 3.x application environments and backend integrations
  • Familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, or Django based systems
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices

  • Familiarity with human-centered design and usability testing practices
  • Python Institute certifications strongly preferred:
