Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week

About Robo Reliance:
At Robo Reliance, we keep robots running.
We provide nationwide, on-site maintenance and repair for humanoid, autonomous, and industrial robots, helping companies avoid costly downtime and keep their automation online. Our technicians support robots across multiple manufacturers, delivering preventative maintenance, emergency fixes, and hands-on technical expertise wherever robots operate.
Robo Reliance is an early-stage, fast-growing robotics field services company providing nationwide maintenance and repair for humanoid, autonomous, and industrial robots.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a hands-on Robotics Technician to support client deployments across the East Bay area, including Oakland, San Lorenzo, and Berkeley.
This is a part-time, project-based role, ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills who is comfortable working independently on-site.
Technicians may participate in onboarding and field training based on client needs.
*This role is ideal for someone looking to supplement their income with flexible, project-based work, rather than replace a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain humanoid and autonomous robotic systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service requests
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues
  • Work directly with customers in professional, on-site environments
  • Document service work, findings, and repairs clearly and accurately
  • Stay current on robotics technologies, tools, and service best practices

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications from robot manufacturers (strongly preferred)
  • Training or education from a robotics, automation, or technician trade program
  • Hands-on experience with autonomous, humanoid, or advanced robotic systems
  • Background in robotics field service, automation, mechatronics, or electromechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently and represent the company professionally
  • Equivalent hands-on experience is highly valued.

Why Join Robo Reliance:
  • Flexible, part-time 1099 contractor role (10-40 hours/week)
  • Remote-first model with field work as needed
  • Exposure to cutting-edge robotics platforms across manufacturers
  • Opportunity to grow alongside an expanding robotics services company
  • Direct access to founders and early leadership
